Time to hit the beach!

I can’t believe how many times our family has hit the beach this year. Our family is proving themselves to be water bugs. Therefor I am so thankful of our reusable swim diaper! Not only are they really cute,  adding more spizazz to your little persons personality they are economical as they are reusable (one size should fit for the entire summer).

They are just like swim trunks but snug enough around the waist and thighs just incase Mr or Miss’s decides to take a pooper in the water. I have had the pleasure to be at the pool and be called out asap as someone has pooped in the pool! Ewww and talk about embarrassment for the poor parents. Teehee. This will not happen with Monkey Doodlez Swim Diapers!

Travelling with Cloth Diapers

Summer months are fast approaching and many parents have asked… How do I travel with cloth diapers?

Whether you are camping outdoors or staying in a hotel room here is a few tips our family has learnt along the way.

Grab yourself a wet bag.  Not only are these great for little trips here and there, the large bags can hold up to 20 diapers comfortably. The waterproof inside and sealed zippers keep all the stinky smells inside. Our large wet bag has two compartments. One waterproof for the dirty diapers and reusable wipes, the other to store the clean, all in one handy location.

Try a hybrid diaper. A diaper shell which allows you to switch out a dirty insert, replace it with a clean one while still reusing the shell. This reduces what you have to wash by half!

Use a biodegradable / flushable liner. These baby’s can be flushed anywhere, even the camper trailer toilet! Assuming you have a straight shooter, all or most solids should be gone. If you don’t have access to a washing machine a light wash should do. Grab a bucket, some hot water and Rockin Green detergent and let the dirty diapers soak. A quick agitate to mimic a washing machine followed by a rinse with clean water. Hang to dry and you are good to go. If you can, find some sunshine for your diapers to dry under. “Sunning” your cloth diapers is such a great way to naturally brighten and rid any lingering stains.

Don’t forget your swim diapers. Whether you’re heading to the beach, waterslides or pool, these are a must for family fun!
